About Me

I'm Cynthia Muyunda-Kambobe. I build Decision Engines—automated data systems that take manual reporting chaos and turn it into clear, actionable intelligence.

I've built these systems for UNHCR's drought emergency response, USAID SUN TA's multi-sector programmes managing 69,000+ records, and organizations working in limited-connectivity environments.

I'm a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) with an MEng in Computer Science and ICT Security, currently finishing an MSc in Data Science.

But the credentials aren't the point.

The point is this: your team shouldn't spend hours every week rebuilding the same reports. Your data shouldn't live in ten different spreadsheets that nobody trusts. And "insights" shouldn't mean hunting through files to answer basic questions.

I fix that.

I'm also the co‑founder of Kithms Enterprise, where I help SMEs and organizations build practical data and digital workflows. Women’s Digital Guild is an extension of Kithms, created to give African women entrepreneurs a focused space to build confidence in digital and data skills for their businesses.

As an ILO-accredited WIDB trainer, I also teach digital and AI literacy to entrepreneurs—because good data systems only work when people actually understand them.

Crisis Response Automation: UNHCR Drought Pipeline

Transformed manual drought emergency spreadsheets into an automated, real-time intelligence pipeline. By connecting Kobo API to Power BI, I eliminated reporting delays—turning raw field data into actionable narratives for the protection cluster's drought emergency response.

Result: Automated a 100% manual reporting process, delivering real-time drought protection insights to the protection cluster with zero lag.

Converging Initiatives: Geospatial Decision Mapping

Developed an interactive geospatial engine to identify gaps and overlaps in Health, WASH, and Agriculture interventions. Using Python and GeoPandas, I transformed raw coordinates into layered spatial narratives, enabling organizations to move from "blind" implementation to data-driven, equitable resource allocation.

Result: Identified critical service delivery gaps by mapping the "convergence" of three different sectors, providing a blueprint for more equitable resource allocation across selected geographic locations.

Multi-Sector Decision Infrastructure: USAID SUN TA MEL Data Management

Architected a full-scale DHIS2 deployment and RapidPro SMS data exchange to eliminate manual reporting silos across the organization. I transformed fragmented health, WASH, and agriculture data into a unified decision engine, enabling real-time tracking for over 69,000 multi-sector records covering 416 facilities in low-connectivity environments.

Result: Unified data streams from 416 facilities into a single source of truth, managing 69,000+ records and enabling data exchange in zero-connectivity zones via SMS.
